Just posted due to the lake band off Erie producing a bit more than anticipated.

At 10:45pm, Monday night, the 26th. As a disturbance begins to cross Lake Erie, it is feeding a surprisingly decent looking lake band, that's making its way up the shore, towards the city, just now reaching southern Erie County. It was expected to be weak from ice cover, but this looks fairly potent, considering.

I'll update overnight, or, as things change.

Expected snow totals for the WNY area. One showing totals for Sunday during the day and then one for Sunday night.

Monday is not seen here.

Buffalo area could expect 4-6in during the day and another 4-6in that night.

At 6:45pm, Saturday evening, the storm can be seen here via a radar mosaic pushing towards the NE.

Majority of snow will fall in a 24hr period, from noon Sunday till noon Monday.

At 8:20pm, Wednesday evening....

A squall line is developing over Lake Erie that'll push through most of WNY with the frontal passage. This will be very intense in some areas.

Be extremely careful if heading out on the roads late this evening.

0215AM, the band is firing up, big time, over Ontario, but snow is already falling in WNY. Expect this band to progressively intensify over the next couple hours while impacting northern areas of WNY.

10pm, Sunday night.

The system seen here, approaching WNY from the west, will help add moisture to the Lake Erie band and aid in overall development.

At 10:00pm Sunday night, the Lake Erie band, situated over northern WNY and southern Ontario, will soon be getting additional moisture to work with as a system approaches from the west. This will help the band slowly intensify over the next few hours on a SW trajectory.
