I expect this to be hashed out by tomorrow's afternoon NOAA model runs or possibly the model runs overnight, tonight.

This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of western New York.
DAY ONE...Today and tonight.

Hazardous weather is not expected at this time.
DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday.

Another complex storm system will move into the area this weekend.Accumulating snow will arrive Saturday, with a few inches possible.A stronger area of low pressure will then pass just southeast of the area later Saturday night and Sunday, with the potential for a period of heavy snow. If the low tracks close enough to the area, there may be a period of mixed precipitation as well.

At 235pm, snow is quickly pushing in from the SW. Impacts on Buffalo and surrounding areas should be realized by 4pm and mixed precip should begin by evening. The further north, the slower the changeover. Some areas could see an inch of snow prior to the mix whereas areas north of the city could see several inches prior to the mix. Forecasting this line is extremely difficult.

Another storm system will move over or just south of the area
Wednesday night through Thursday. There remains some uncertainty with the track of this storm, which will determine precipitation type and impacts. If precipitation stays all snow, significant snowfall is possible. If the system tracks farther north, snow will change to a wintry mix.
