EFDN presents, 'A Nightmare in July' is less than a week away and all of us at The Merry Shelley are excited to celebrate the start of spooky season with all of you! We might have some tricks and we'll most likely have some treats. But, we'll definitely be dancing all night long. Nighmare costumes are highly encouraged! You all looked abfab in your prom attire and heeded the call to dance. Thank you for helping celebrate Karma's birthday and your generous donations to GLYS Western New York, Inc. Gathering with friends and dancing for hours are just a few ways to achieve temporary reprieve from all the bats**t craziness of the current state of the world. And, you can do just that this Sat night at The Merry Shelley for DJ Servo & The Merry Shelley present the 3rd Annual, 'Pretty In Black - a Misfit Prom'. This is the prom we all deserved, but didn't get.

I promise that I'll be spinning so much super duper dancey 80's retro greatness as well as some 90's/2K's alternative AND dance/alt pop from LGBTQIA+ artists in celebration of Pride Month that you'll leave 10 pounds lighter from all the dancing.

Because it's Pride Month, we will be raising money for, and 100% of ALL my tips, will go to, a VERY important and vital WNY organization; GLYS Western New York, Inc. GLYS provides a safe and positive environment for LGBTQ+ youth to learn more about themselves through peer interaction and educational experiences.

Because not only is this the prom we all deserved but didn't get, I will be spinning so much super dancey alternative greatness AND dance/alt pop from LGBTQIA+ artists in celebration of Pride Month!

It is with a heavy heart that we regret to inform that Douglas McCarthy passed away this morning of June 11th, 2025. We ask everyone to please be respectful of Douglas, his wife, and family in this difficult time. We appreciate your understanding and will share more information soon.

I will be spinning so much super dancey alternative greatness AND dance/alt pop from LGBTQIA+ artists in celebration of Pride Month! Prom attire is highly encouraged, so we can take all the photos for the yearbook (OK, our social media).

Now, more than ever, I'm wishing a happy pride month to all my friends in, and allys to, the LGBTQ+ community. During a time in our lives when so many in this world are showing their true ugliness, let us fight back with love, unity and perseverance.
