🦞 WANTED: crayfish and and folks brave enough to find 'em! Missouri Dept. of Conservation and Missouri Stream Team are launching Missouri Crayfish Finders, a brand-new citizen science program. They need volunteers across the state to help identify crayfish in Missouri's waterways.

Mosey on over to their free virtual training to learn about crayfish of Missouri and how to collect them, take proper photos for identification, and submit data to the project.

Fun fact, this rootin' & tootin' fella is the long-pincered crayfish, an endemic species to the White River Basin watershed. This means it's found nowhere else on Earth except this one place! Photo Credit: Photo by MDC Staff (besides the cowboy hat).

🎣 🦃 I just restocked my booth at Country Boyz Antique Trading Post! More fly reels for you trout fishing folks; more big level-winds for those of you who go snagging for spoonbill; more spinning and spincast reels; lures for bass, musky, walleye, crappie, panfish, etc; flies; waders; turkey calls - both vintage, and handcrafted by Jessie's Farm Art and Custom Leather (that’s me), turkey fans for reaping (or decor); knives; John Deere decor; reloading equipment; an old school Weaver scope; and I forgot to take a picture, but my pup has outgrown her crate, so her lightly used small dog crate is available there now, too!

And while I was there, Ma Perkins Antiques & Quilts was restocking her 28’ quilt wall, and Perk's Place Guitars brought in more music equipment!

For all your fishing, hunting, and outdoor gear needs, ask for booth 4, (it’s in the NW corner of the shop, and showcase 4 is across from the cashier; located in Country Boyz Antique Trading Post, across from the cemetery, on Hwy 65 in Buffalo, MO. Open Tuesday through Sunday from 9 to 5) 🎣 🦃
