This story is courtesy of Jim Moore..About Mickey Mantle.....Every year about this time I post this story Mickey Jr shared about his Dad - "One Christmas Eve I was riding around with Dad running errands and he pulled into a filling station for gas. When we walked inside to pay we saw a middle aged black man standing at the counter close to tears. He had a battered old car with a flat tire and the back seat was piled high with presents. The guy who ran the station was ignoring him. He had the look of a man who had been saving all year to afford the presents. Dad ask him if he needed any help. He said he didn't have a spare. If he couldn't get the tire fixed that he had no way to get home to put the gifts under the tree. When Dad called the attendant over it was as if his voice had just yanked him by the shirt. He slapped three one-hundred dollar bills on the counter and said, Put new tires on this man's car. Do it now, right now, dammit, so he can get home and give his kids their Christmas presents. I don't know if the man knew his Good Samaritan was Mickey Mantle or not. Dad had been out of baseball for a couple of years. It wasn't just the season or the spot the man was in that moved him. He didn't like seeing someone's pride being trampled." After telling another story along the same lines Jr added this, "He taught us kindness and taught us by example not to boast about it or expect anything in return. I think those were two good things to teach your kids." ... I'm really glad Jr shared this and I hope this memory of a son about his Dad brightens your day a little, it did for me. There will never be another Mickey Mantle.

The Human Vacuum Cleaner! Brooks is The Best!

Brooks Robinson won the 1970 World Series MVP Award hitting .429, broke the record for total bases in a five-game series with 17, tied the record for most hits in one game with four, and tied teammate Paul Blair for most hits in a five-game Series with nine. Total Baseball described Robinson's fielding as "other-worldly defense at third (which) gave Reds right-handed hitters nightmares through the Series." Upon hearing that Robinson won the MVP award and a new car from Toyota, Reds' catcher Johnny Bench said, "If we had known he wanted a car that badly, we'd all have chipped in and bought him one."

STELLAR COMICS will be hiring some ARTISTS for late 2020. We will be looking for a few Writers as well. We are not looking for writers that wish to get their own writing/creations published. We want writers and artists that might like to work within "The Stellar Universe" Stellar Comics Group will not accept or consider any of your ideas or comic book projects. There are other Comic Companies that do that exclusively. If you send us a comic project that you wish published we will be forced to simply shred it and it will not be returned.

We will be paying what we consider Fair Rates...IF you need "Top Two" rates as a comic professional breaking into the Scene...We are probably not for you...However we DO pay....probably more than many.

Again..you need to be able to be willing to work with OUR Characters..Within our Stellar Universe and Guidelines...

If you think you drawn great Comic Biook Hero Characters or are able to even draw real people onto a comic book page...We would like to hear from you.
