Mike Africa, Jr. is a member of The MOVE Organization, and the co-founder of the Black Philly Radical Collective. He is a motivational resilience speaker renowned for his dynamic stage performances that blend music with his speeches.

This event is open to the public and is co-sponsored by the Vincentian Center for Justice, the Niagara University Black Student Union, and the Pre-National Black Law Student Association.

UB DANCE DAY with Zodiaque Dance Company is Sun. OCT. 26, 2025. All standard ticketing options are available plus a special $35 UB Dance Day Ticket, which includes:

• A participatory pre-show workshop for ages 14 and up in the UB Center for the Arts Dance Studios (Rooms B82 & B82 in the basement of building). Arrive at noon in the hallway outside of the Dance Studios (rooms B82 and B84) for check-in.
• A dance class focusing on movement presented in the 2pm performance and observation of company warm up, plus Q&A with UB dance majors. No specific dancewear required. Come dressed to move!
• Admission to Zodiaque Dance Company 51st Season Fall Concert 2 p.m. performance in the Drama Theatre.

Join us for a Community Day at Canalside on Saturday, October 25 and help mark this incredible milestone with live music, family fun, and local history.

Here’s what you’ll be able to explore:
📍 The Erie County Historical Commission will unveil new historic markers.
🌳 Erie County Parks Rangers will share how the Canal shaped our parks system.
📚 The Buffalo & Erie County Public Library will showcase historical artifacts and Canal history.
🧁 Visit Buffalo’s Mobile Visitor Center will be on site with cupcakes and local information.
🌊 Local actor Dennis Upton will portray Joseph Ellicott, one of the visionaries behind the Canal.
🐴 The Buffalo Zoo will bring its “Zoo Mobile” and a draft horse, a nod to the animals that once towed canal boats.

This weekend is fighting for something bigger than fitness. Join for a powerful Breast Cancer 💖 Awareness Boxing Class honoring every woman who has fought, survived, or continues to battle breast cancer.

Saturday at 1 PM and Sunday at 11:45 AM at Buffalo Boxing Club.
BOTH CLASSES ARE $10 ‼️ Half Off in honor of the cause.

This will be a non-sparring session focused on giving the ladies a great workout, building confidence, and creating a space full of strength and support.

After Sunday’s class, will be giving away special gift bags to celebrate strength, courage, and resilience.
