✊🏾 TWO BUFFALO VOICES, ONE POWERFUL MESSAGE: IT'S TIME TO BUILD ✊🏾

Nate L. Boyd and Trivet TJ Jarmond (TJ Precil) brought Face to Face with Nate Boyd and Talk That Talk Buffalo together for an urgent conversation about community empowerment and economic justice.

THE MESSAGE:
While other communities pool resources to buy property and build businesses on Buffalo's east side, the Black community continues to struggle individually instead of collectively.

THE OPPORTUNITY:
Property auction coming NEXT MONTH. Buildings will be available. Instead of watching outside groups buy our community, it's time to come TOGETHER.

🏠 Buffalo Shows Up for Lead Safety: Event Draws Massive Crowd
When Anna Falicov, of the Buffalo & Erie County Lead Safe Task Force (Get Ahead of Lead ), arrived at the E. Merriweather, Jr. Library on November 12th, she didn't expect the overwhelming turnout. But Buffalo residents came out in force—because they know our children's health depends on addressing the lead crisis.

The message was clear: Help is available.
With $10-12 million in lead safety repair funding from the county and city, plus additional emergency repair grants through the Buffalo Urban Renewal Agency (BURA), Buffalo property owners have access to resources that can make a real difference.

While lead-specific funding is the focus, BURA grants can also cover critical issues like:

Emergency roof repairs
Boiler replacements
Other major home emergencies

Anna acknowledged that roofs remain a challenge—often you need a sound roof to qualify for lead grants—and the Task Force is actively working to secure more comprehensive resources for Buffalo homes.
The momentum is building. More events are coming. Stay connected.
