1993-2021. That's 28 YEARS of leadership.

Then he stepped down.
Then, he came BACK and now for the 50th Anniversary, he returns as Juneteenth Festival Inc.'s Festival Coordinator.

That's not just service. That's LEGACY. 💚

Mr. Marcus O. Brown didn't just lead the Juneteenth of Buffalo Festival - he SHAPED it for nearly three decades. He listened to the founders. He absorbed their vision. He understood what Juneteenth could DO for the community.

And he delivered.

For 28 years, as President, he turned possibility into reality.
Year after year. Festival after festival.
Growing it. Protecting it. Ensuring it thrived.

Now, in this monumental 50th Anniversary year, he's returned to guide and advise us once more.

Because some leaders don't retire. They RESET and come back when their community needs them most.

This January 22nd monthly installment of the "Where Do We Go From Here: Chaos or Community?" event held by Community Partners, Open Buffalo, King Urban Life Center, Buffalo Kwanzaa, and Juneteenth Festival Inc. (Juneteenth of Buffalo Festival).
