Help! Our stairs in this older home we just bought were carpeted and it was so nasty that we ripped it out the other day. I thought I could go to the Restore and get some laminate or hardwood that we could use, but my husband reminded me that they have the bullnose front and I’m not sure how to handle that. Do I just sand them and paint them? What would you guys do?

Hiya, we've had this Ikea kitchen for around 10 years and the dishwasher and sink cupboard coating is peeling off due to getting damp/steam on it. Has anyone had experience/advice of how to solve this? It seems a shame and a huge expense to replace all the cupboards when only 3 are damaged, but Ikea don't sell this style anymore...

Looking for quartzite advice.

We are building w a production builder and had originally picked Mont Blanc but just had our selection process and the only inventory they had of Mont Blanc was pretty underwhelming. Place said that’s what it’s been looking like a lot lately. Annoyingly, they wouldn’t let me look at any of the other quartzite options bc they only “pulled” the Mont Blanc bc that’s what we had picked. Is this a normal experience for people when shopping for quartzite?

Since the slabs vary so much form batch to batch, it would be nice to be able to see multiple types of quartzite all at once and then pick your favorite based on that, regardless of what type it is/what we picked at the design center. But obviously that’s not how it works with our builder.

Are there any particular quartzites people have really like or any you would recommend staying away from? Heard Mont Blanc is a more soft/porous compared to other quartzites.
