First time making miniature furniture. There’s 2 hours of my life invested in this little dolls house table made from the end grain of a yew branch with ash legs. The green woodworking and bushcraft police will be quick to comment on the use of poisonous timber here but rest assured, albeit small, this is my contribution to the easing of the population crisis 😉.

photo of the hillside cabin earlier in the year with soffit fitted to the underside of roof rafters aswell as walkway balustrade and gate, Thankyou to for helping out. The framework of this cabin was made from minimally processed windblown trees that were debarked and then extracted from the forest by hand and carried about a quarter of a mile across streams and rough terrain, they were then jointed together using traditional techniques. The sawn timber used was milled near to the project by from locally sourced Douglas fir. An old boat was also recycled for the project where we repurposed the windows and reused timber from the deck to build the door amongst other things.

Funky spoon set 😃! From left to right, Ash spatula with spalted beech handle, ash tall drink spoon with a willow knot handle, ladle bowl (wood unknown) with kwila handle, oak and willow cooking spoon and finally a bent spoon on the far right made from totara, the holder is made from a piece of spalted hornbeam with little hazel branch pegs and walnut plugs for the screw holes 🤤 🤤 🤤.

Merry Christmas all! A little introduction is due as I’ve had a few new followers lately. My name is Stuart and here’s a recent one of me in my natural habitat in Scotland near hills and water. Im looking forward to making more videos of my projects to share with you in the new year and am particularly keen to do some more tutorial content for those wanting a spot of guidance to get going with woodworking at home.
