Meet Tony Dittmer, the man behind Stony Brook's magical holiday display. The community decorations are a cherished tradition for Western New Yorkers, drawing crowds all season long. The lights turn on Thanksgiving evening and shine nightly through January 1.

But this passion project has a greater purpose. With Dittmer at the helm, the Stony Brook Legendary Lights fundraiser has raised more than $165,000 for local child-centric charities.
