As your Niagara County Reporter, I had the chance to meet 17-year-old Derek Black — a three-sport athlete from North Tonawanda who’s now a nominee for Sports Illustrated’s Youth Athlete of the Year. 🏈🏒🥍

Born without his right hand, Derek has never let that stop him from competing. His story is one of determination, heart and pure love for the game.
