⚖️📺 A federal judge has ruled that President Donald Trump’s effort to cut off federal funding for NPR and PBS violated First Amendment protections.
U.S. District Judge Randolph Moss permanently blocked key parts of Trump’s executive order that directed federal agencies to withhold funding from the public broadcasters. The court found that the order targeted NPR and PBS because of their journalism, raising constitutional concerns over viewpoint discrimination and retaliation.
However, the ruling does not reverse separate funding cuts that were previously approved by Congress.
The decision is being closely watched as another major legal battle over free speech, government funding, and media independence unfolds. 🇺🇸
