End of an Era: The Nissan R35 GT-R Bows Out After 18 Legendary Years 💔🥺

Nissan has officially ended production of the iconic R35 GT-R, closing an unforgettable 18-year chapter in automotive history.

The final cars were built at the Tochigi plant in Japan—the last market where the GT-R remained on sale. Since its debut in 2007, the R35 has earned its place as a true performance icon, with nearly 48,000 units produced worldwide.

The very last model to roll off the line? A stunning T-Spec Premium Edition in Midnight Purple, destined for a lucky customer in Japan.

Nissan President & CEO Ivan Espinosa reflected:

“After 18 remarkable years, the R35 GT-R has left an enduring mark on automotive history. To GT-R fans everywhere—this isn’t farewell forever. Our goal is for the GT-R nameplate to return one day.”
