As we wrap up the New York production portion of our Christmas movie here in Buffalo, we’re leaving with full hearts and total awe.

To our incredible local crew and our returning superstar regulars - thank you so much! You outdid yourselves in every possible way. Your talent, dedication, and hard work made this shoot not only smooth but unforgettable.

Buffalo, your film-friendly spirit is real and genuine. This city opened its arms and gave us the perfect backdrop to tell our story - even though the film takes place in a totally different location (that’s movie magic at its best!). Because of you - this crew, this place - this movie is the very best it could be.

Hallmark’s Newport Christmas Buffalo, NY

Casting Call for Background Actors in Buffalo, NY & Youngstown, NY — Casting Buffalo is seeking diverse union and non-union background talent (ages 18+) for the upcoming Hallmark Original Christmas movie, Newport Christmas.

Filming will take place around Erie & Niagara County, from March 17 to April 3, and a variety of background roles are available, including Christmas formal guests, ballroom dancers, tuxedoed men, corset wearing women, gilded age reenactors, tourists, waitstaff, parade spectators, a violin busker, string quartets, Santa Clauses, and many many more.

In addition to offering a chance to be part of a beloved Hallmark holiday film, this production also provides SAG-Eligible opportunities for local actors looking to take the next step in their careers.
