New microphone alert! 🚨 We want to give a shoutout to Tonal Eclipse Microphones for connecting us with their “Hello, Operator?” microphone which is a rebuilt and modified Philco dynamic microphone that came from a mid-century Western Electric telephone receiver. It is ridiculously cool! Who wants to come down to put this gorgeous mic on their next recording!?

Appreciation post: shoutout to the heart of Studio A, our SSL 4040G console! So many songs have been recorded/mixed through this, so many artists have sat at this console with us, and so many sessions have benefited from having this workhorse as our main console. Installed in the fall of 2009 it has been the console that our engineers rely on each session to help in creating sweet sweet music. Today we salute you SSL 4040G 🫡.
