Bomb threat prompts heavy law enforcement presence at NGMC Gainesville; appointments canceled

GAINESVILLE — A heavy law enforcement presence is underway near Northeast Georgia Medical Center Gainesville on Tuesday as police investigate a reported bomb threat in the vicinity of the hospital. The Gainesville Police Department confirmed officers were responding to the area and conducting safety sweeps with personnel, police dogs and other safety equipment.
