I don’t get to show all the messages I receive, let alone the validating and loving words from people I meet across the nation that share how much the directory has helped them and their family. I hope to be able to share bits of that because I know that if I can create something with this level of impact, you can too. Todo con corazón y pasión se puede.

In the second image, our colleague is referring to the networking events I used to have at local parks in 2016 🥹 I did not know what I was doing but I know our community needed connection and here we are today. I’m so proud of all of us and I humbly thank you all for trusting and supporting Latinx Therapy.

It has been an honor to read through everyone’s stories about where their parents have worked. It made us sad to see that 3 of our colleagues’ parents were forced to retire due to the pandemic. Please take a moment this week to read about where some of our members come from, specifically, what our parents/caregivers did for work.

We are sad to share these GoFundMe’s and request for anyone’s support for our colleagues.

The first one is for our member whose cousin passed away.

The next one is for our colleague from our Facebook group who shared with us about her father who was detained by ICE. Their family is seeking financial support to help with his case. They have requested for $5k but we also know that anything helps, especially given that he is being deported to a country with no resources, support, income or savings.

Sharing these gofundme’s will help immensely 🙏🏽

There was a Supreme Court ruling yesterday or the night before that supported funding being cut off for November. -_-

The Trump administration late Saturday directed states that they must "immediately undo" any actions they have made to provide benefits to low-income families via SNAP.

Latine Therapists: Save the date for our annual holiday party for therapists in private practice. This year it will take place on Sat, Jan 3 in Huntington Park, CA from 6-9pm. We are excited to have a food truck () and other special surprises! Tickets will go out this week for members. You will be able to bring a plus one, too (with their own ticket 🎟️) ☺️

This year has been difficult for our community and it’s an event I personally put together to pamper you! 💜

ICE agents charged into a daycare yesterday...so much to say but I’m worried about the long-term mental health (and health) consequences. This is community violence that children and adults are witnessing. It’s chronic- which increases risk for chronic PTSD.

This is the teacher federal agents grabbed yesterday at Rayito De Sol daycare. Attorneys for Diana Santillana have filed a petition in federal court to have her freed from ICE custody.
