Seraph Films

Seraph Films Seraph Films, a creative, dynamic independent production company driven by a passion for original, Seraph Films is more than a production company.

Seraph Films was founded by Director Gene Blalock who strives to make unique films and media while pursuing his love of story-telling and film-making creativity. Seraph is a gathering of like-minded artists, entrepreneurs and financiers who believe that investing in talent, particularly in pursuit of shared passion projects, is a viable and winning strategy. Our team members work together to creat

e thoughtful, intelligent, and unique entertainment. Filmmakers come first, and story and character are always our top priority. We have developed relationships with talented actors, including members of SAG, and crew to create unique and interesting films. Seraph Films is an independent film company in the truest sense given that the Company secures its financial resources independently, enabling it to focus on and produce economical, cost-effective content, while offering filmmakers and creative talent a streamlined, non-bureaucratic environment in which to work. As a production company, we are building a film studio infrastructure within a privately held, self-financed company. This allows Seraph Films to be a place where creativity comes first and innovation is the norm. At Seraph, we take pride in building a prototype that elevates our own atheistic standards to allow us to grow as an artistic group. Please subscribe to our YouTube channel channel for new programming and follow us on FaceBook and Twitter for updates. Thank you for visiting.

Location scouting is always an adventure! Even if a spot isn't quite right for the original plan, discovering unique places is half the fun. We found this location while searching for a totally different scene... and it ended up being PERFECT for another one entirely!

If you supported our last campaign, your contributions have been returned. I know this is frustrating. I'm not sure why other filmmakers would do this to their fellow artists, but it happened.

Our campaign was unexpectedly flagged and taken down, resulting in all contributions being refunded. While we can’t recover the original donations, we’re relaunching with fresh determination, and we need your help to cross the finish line!

If you donated earlier, your funds were returned. We were counting on those resources to finalize post-production. Though the amount may seem modest, in the indie world, every dollar fuels creativity.
The film has already been shot, and we’re close to wrapping post-production. Your support, big or small, will directly bring this project to life.

By contributing or sharing with a friend, you’re not just funding a film, you’re championing bold, independent storytelling. Let’s make this happen together!

Nothing says ‘saving cinema’ like slapping 100% tariffs on films made outside the U.S. Surprising? Not when you’ve watched filmmaking used as a pawn in trade wars for years. Global storytelling thrives on collaboration, not protectionist tantrums.

But sure, let’s punish the U.K. crews who saved your Marvel movies, drive budgets into the stratosphere, and invite China to retaliate by banning U.S. films altogether. Genius.

The president blamed foreign-made movies for the American film industry's "very fast death".

It’s still a tough time for the industry. As someone who’s seen the highs and lows of Hollywood’s heartbeat, this piece from the LA Times hits hard. LA’s production landscape is struggling—sound stages sit empty, shoot days are declining, and the ripple effect on local crews and businesses is undeniable. Whether it’s lingering fallout from the strikes, streaming shifts, or economic pressures, the challenges are real.

But here’s what I know: This industry is resilient. Let’s not just wait for the rebound—let’s advocate for solutions, support local creatives, and keep pushing for stories that matter. If you’ve felt this slowdown, drop a comment. How are you navigating it?

In 2024, soundstage occupancy levels decreased to 63%, down from 69% the year before. The number of on-stage shoot days for 2023 also declined, according to a new report.
