I used to hate road tripping with my family when I was a kid. The drives would be so long and the only way to entertain myself was to play games with my siblings where we’d look for license plates that had certain numbers or letters. My dad would randomly pull over and we’d hike on trails for a bit and then get back into the car to drive some more.
I didn’t understand back then how special it was to be able to do that. To have parents that loved to explore and be in nature. Road trips now are among my favorite things to do. There’s something about being present and seeing the world go by.
This trip to Arizona was a special one. Got to hang out with my parents in Phoenix, ride bikes, and of course visit Sedona with ❤️ My childhood best friend was randomly in Phoenix at the same time and I was able to catch up with her!
