Here's some art from another Canadian Norm, Norman Eastman (1931 - 2007), who was born in St. Stephens, New Brunswick, Canada. He illustrated cover art for Avon, Bantam, Berkeley, Doubleday, Pinnacle, St. Martin's Press, Harlequin and Reader's Digest. But he was at his best illustrating N***s doing weird s**t on sweat mags. I don't know what these experiments are, but I have a feeling these guys aren't real scientists.

If people are going to judge your book by its cover, you want an artist like Robert A. Maguire (August 3, 1921 – February 26, 2005) painting your book jacket. From the 1940s to the 1990s, Robert Maguire’s artwork sold a lot of books. In the world of pulp paperbacks, when newspapers weren’t reviewing these lurid tales, the covers had to draw the reader’s attention at the bookstore. And Maguire's art grabs your attention by its throat.

During World War II, Maguire joined the 88th Infantry and fought in Italy. After the war he enrolled in The Art Students League of New York, and the rest is history.
