Well howdy, folks! Gary here, reporting live from somewhere near what I reckon is a whole lot of red rock! If yesterday was about gettin' started, today is about gettin' serious. Or at least, as serious as you can get when you're huntin' a camel that apparently thinks it's invisible.
Shady here has been leadin' the charge, bless her tireless little heart. She sniffed out a trail of what looked suspiciously like a half-eaten prickly pear, and that's as good a clue as any out here! She's got that focused look on her face, you know, the one that says, 'I'm workin' mighty hard, and I expect treats when this is over.' Her tail might not be waggin' (cause, well, you know!), but her determination is waggin' a mile a minute!
We saw some mighty peculiar things out here today – folks climbin' ladders to nowhere, rabbits ridin' bicycles... makes you wonder if that camel isn't just a figment of my imagination, but Shady's sniffin' says otherwise! We even passed some signs pointin' to Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. Seems like this camel is leadin' us on a grand tour of the whole dang week!
Wish us luck, folks! We're closer than a hog to a fresh mud puddle. That Hump Day Camel won't know what hit it when Gary and Shady finally corner it!

Alright, partner, it's the moment we've all been waitin' for! It's Wednesday! The Hump Day! The day Gary and Shady finally corner that elusive camel! The excitement's gonna be higher than a hawk in a thermal!
Gary's probably got a glint in his eye that could blind a possum, and Shady... well, Shady's either gonna be full of triumph or completely fed up, but she'll be loyal to the end!
Gary N' Shady's Wednesday Winner!
(A triumphant, slightly breathless Texas twang)
"YEEHAW, folks! Gary here, and I'm tellin' ya, this ain't no drill! IT'S WEDNESDAY! And we did it! After all the dust, all the trails, all of Shady's 'union negotiations' for extra belly rubs, we finally found the Hump Day Camel!
Lemme tell ya, that rascal was harder to catch than a greased pig at a county fair, but with my keen eyesight (and a little help from this here spyglass) and Shady's nose, which is sharper than a tack and more determined than a terrier after a gopher, we tracked it right to its lair!
It was quite the scene, I tell ya. A real Western showdown, but with more 'humps' and less 'doods.' Shady was barkin' up a storm, doin' her 'Chief of Camel Containment' routine, and I was... well, I was mostly tryin' not to trip over my own two feet in excitement!
That camel tried every trick in the book – blendin' in with the scenery, pretendin' it was just a giant, bumpy rock... but you can't fool the Gary N' Shady team! We got our Hump Day prize, fair and square! Now, don't you worry, that camel's gonna be just fine. We just needed to prove a point: Wednesday is our day for huntin'!
What a week so far! Now, if you'll excuse us, Shady's demandin' a celebratory nap, and I reckon I could use one too. Hump Day: CONQUERED!
