One year ago today I saw this mean Kansas supercell, a brief tornado, a herd of cattle blocking the road, some insane structure on a different storm, and then managed to bury the truck in a ditch, all in a day's work 😂

One year ago today:

June 8th 2025 was the longest day of chasing I've ever done. First storm of the day was NW of Abilene at 8am, and then I met up with The Reaper in Childress to get ready for the main show. A MASSIVE supercell initiated near Amarillo and tracked over the Palo Duro canyon, exhibiting crazy lightning and insane structure (and I just confirmed today that there was in fact a pretty big tornado at one point. Last photo)

After a while, new storms developed to the south and I decided to go check them out. I documented a brief tornado near Hamlin before all of the storms began to merge into the derecho that barreled towards DFW. I managed to stay ahead and intercepted the derecho in my driveway around midnight. What a crazy day ⛈️
