Working with Make-A-Wish Vermont has been such a fulfilling addition to our client roster, and we’re taking our work hats off and putting our beards on to join in on the fun. Make-A-Wish VT is hosting their infamous no-razor fundraiser, the 6th Annual Beardies; a beard-growing contest full of dad jokes, beards, and great prizes, where you can turn your whiskers into wishes for Vermont’s children who need them most. We can't grow beards but we can be "wishful" that you'll support our team anyway!

A big congrats to the Healthy Living Market and Cafe team on opening up their new location in Williston! There’s something to be said about a team that can finish a *huge* 2+ year project in the midst of a pandemic - and really, just look at the end result. Since taking on Healthy Living as a client, I’ve had the pleasure of seeing and sharing the hard work they put into this opening, while still running 2 other stores that serve their communities with essentials. Getting to know such caring, passionate, and involved leaders has been an epic experience.

My team and I have spent the better half of today working with clients as they consider how their organizations should proceed on social media, and what a stand against racism and violence might look like. I’m offering this support to my clients, but I want to extend this support (free of charge, of course) to those who I’m not currently working with as well. While posting on social media is just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to taking action, it’s a platform that we all access daily and I believe it is our duty to speak up. Taking action can be scary, and it can be hard to find the right words, but imperfect action is still better than nothing at all. My team and I will never tell you what to think or feel, but if we can help you take action in your own way, we’re here for you. Please feel free to reach out—client or not—and stay safe out there, however you choose to help.

This writer brilliantly articulates the discomfort that so many of us have been feeling yet haven’t found the words to describe. When it comes to many things in our society, marketing including, we lack genuine empathy. As a consumer and member of society, I hope that perhaps we will find a way to fix this. As a professional marketer, I continue my commitment to going back to the basics and marketing with respect to the true values, like love, compassion, and sustainability, while letting go of our materialistic lifestyles.

3 years!! 💃🏻 The past few years of OMS have been a dream-- proof that the passions I’ve chased, lessons I’ve learned, education I’ve pursued, relationships I’ve nurtured, networking I’ve fostered and challenges I’ve overcome have been worthwhile. A reminder that I am worthwhile, I am valuable, and I get to reflect that back out into the world by raising up powerful and valuable people, organizations, and businesses with OMS. Here’s to three years of making my own dream come true by building up others as they do the same.
