Montpelier, VT: Hundreds of high school and college students from around the state of Vermont participated in a climate march this past Thursday, April 28th. The march, organized by Vermont Youth Lobby, began at Vermont College of Fine Arts, and ended in a rally, speeches, and live music at the Statehouse in Montpelier. Despite it being a slightly chilly day in April, the mood and energy was high, and it was hard not to find a smile on the faces of student’s carrying self-made signs. [ 666 more words. ]

The Champlayer’s showcase of The Brothers Grimm SPECTACULATHON is definitely not one you want to miss. It’s a wild retelling of classic fairy tales that completely disregards any concept of the fourth wall. Unlike recent modern retellings of classic fairy tales, this one lacks Disney’s influence and is true to it’s past -- characters eat one another, cut off their own toes, and there’s a surprising loss of eyeballs. Music was blasting throughout the Fireside Lounge courtesy of DJ Kermitt. 200 pounds of candy was spread out along tables placed in front of Hearthstone. SGA members were passing out raffle tickets, giving students the chance to win a Bose Soundlink Speaker, an Amazon Gift Card, and various other gift cards in Champlain mugs. On top of all that, Late Night was free and serving up nachos, apple pie crepes and chicken tenders (the Mozzarella sticks would be served at 9:30, and the line reached from the deli to the pizza station).
