Our guest this month, Chelsea Myers, experienced some unexplainable postpartum mental health crises that led to inpatient hospitalizations after the birth of their second child. Eventually, the discovery of a hemorrhaged pituitary tumor may have been behind so much of what they experienced.

In our interview, Chelsea discusses what it's like to parent in the aftermath of these traumatic experiences and how they show up for their children while navigating their own limitations.

In Episode 13 of Pondering Parenthood we share how bedtime sometimes feels like a battle with nighttime fears. 🌙✨

When sleep anxiety and nightmares started keeping our daughter awake, we tried many different things and she eventually the fears subsided.

Swipe through to see the 5 ways we helped our daughter overcome sleep anxiety and finally put those nightmares to bed:

📖 1. A Worry Journal: A designated safe space for her to process her fears and share what's on her mind.

🕸️ 2. A Dream Catcher: A fun DIY project you can do together.

🧸 3. A Stuffy Soldier: Promoting a favorite stuffed animal to stand guard at the foot of her bed.

🦄 4. Listing Happy Thoughts: Focusing on her favorite things (like rainbows, unicorns, and Nana!) right before closing her eyes.

🕯️ 5. A Steady Routine: Keeping a predictable, calming bedtime routine so she always knows what to expect.
