This is one of the coolest bars in America!

Million Dollar Cowboy Bar is the perfect place to go for a true Western experience. They have saddle bar seats, live country music, line dancing lessons, pool tables, and even a steakhouse downstairs.

If you’re in Wyoming and want to feel like a cowboy/cowgirl for a night, head to Million Dollar Cowboy Bar!

Did you know that in Rockland, Maine you can walk a mile across the ocean to see this iconic lighthouse?! It is so fun to walk this rocky path out to the end!

Things to note:

- Visiting the lighthouse is free, and there is free parking as well.

- The rocks are huge and there can be big gaps in between the rocks, so make sure you wear appropriate shoes.

- It took us about 15 minutes to walk out to the end

- Even if you don’t walk all the way out, it’s still worth it to see from the shore as well

This is an absolute must visit if you’re traveling to coastal Maine!

This is a great road trip to see the New England coast! It includes beautiful cities like Boston, Portsmouth, and Portland, as well as smaller charming towns like Wells, Boothbay, Rockland and Camden. This is a great road trip to take if you plan on visiting Acadia National Park because you can see so much more of New England along the way! You can also drive right to Acadia and then make your way back down the coast visiting these stops in reverse.

Summer and Fall are great times for this road trip, but New England is beautiful year round 😊

Save this for your next road trip!

Seeing these giant trolls up close was so fun! I’ve seen that there are giant wooden trolls by this artist spread throughout the U.S., and I’m excited we finally got to see some!

We spent a little less than 2 hours walking through the botantical garden enjoying the beautiful flowers, peaceful scenery, and finding the 5 trolls. This is a great activity for adults and kids! Plus - this is only located an hour from Portland!

Save this for your next trip to Maine!

Maine is such a good travel destination - it has the ocean, a beautiful coastline, lighthouses, a national park, lobster rolls/seafood, a ton of breweries, great restaurants, and adorable towns.

Just book the trip to Maine - it’s worth it!

If you are stuck at Shenandoah National Park on a rainy day and want to do some exploring outside the park, here’s what we’d suggest!

Spend the morning in Front Royal. Grab breakfast and a coffee, walk through downtown, look at the murals, and shop the local boutique stores.

Then, head to Luray Caverns. You can spend some time exploring the largest cavern system in the United States. It feels huge as you walk through, with crystal clear pools, the Great Stalacpipe Organ, and massive stalagmites.

Your ticket to the caverns also includes entry to the Car & Carriage Caravan Museum, which is filled with old cars, vintage carriages, and Model Ts. We thought it was really interesting to see all the old cars!

Your ticket also includes the Shenandoah Heritage Village, which has cool artifacts from the 1700 and 1800s, as well as a gem mining sluice that can be great for kids!

If you have a rainy day in Shenandoah, don’t worry because there’s lots of other things to do!

We planned for one full day in Shenandoah National Park but when we landed in DC and saw the weather, we knew it wasn’t going to be good. We still attempted to drive the Skyline Drive but unfortunately, we couldn’t see any views 😩

Since we didn’t plan for extra days, we had to pivot and find other things to do! (more to come on that later…)

We plan on going back to Shenandoah soon, but this is your warning to make sure you plan for extra days if the weather isn’t going to be great!

We loved our trip to Scotland! We stayed in Edinburgh and did a day trip to the Highlands.

Edinburgh is such a walkable city, and we loved how it feels old and new at the same time.

The day trip to the Highlands was a long day, but it was a beautiful drive, and we loved seeing the Hogwarts Express train! If you’re looking to do a day trip, we highly recommend Discover Scotland Tours! Our tour guide was Michael and he was fantastic.

Pictured Rocks, located on Lake Superior, is known for sandstone cliffs, beaches, waterfalls, and huge sand dunes. If you’re visiting the Upper Peninsula in Michigan, it is so worth driving to Pictured Rocks!
