Train vs. Semi | Hamberg Area, June 11, 2026

Troopers responded to a crash involving a semi and a westbound freight train at a rural railroad crossing near Hamberg.

The semi was struck while attempting to cross the tracks. Fortunately, no injuries were reported.

Remember:
-Trains can take more than a mile to stop.
-You may see a train before you hear it.
-Never try to “beat” a train at a crossing.
-Always look both directions, even at familiar crossings.
