AMAZING EVENT TODAY!!!!!
First, I would love to say THANK YOU to all the people of Saginaw, and all other areas, that came out an supported the Saginaw Comic Con. YOU ALL ARE AWESOME!!!! You made todays show ROCK!!!! Hope you had fun!!!
Second, Like to THANK Randy Zimmerman, for bringing this event to us in Saginaw, and for making me a part of it... It was an amazing expereince and thank you for sharing it with me.
Third, THANK YOU to Rachel from SVRC Market Place. Your facility, and your vendors were awesome, and so supportive. Loved how so many dressed up and made items for Comic Con... You are truly rock stars by making things happen. I already have ideas for next year haha!!! And some of my helpers have already said they want to help again...
The 501st Rebel Legion came out, and represented with tons of awesome Star Wars characters. Huge highlight of my day for sure!!! Thanks guys, you rock!!!
A HUGE THANK YOU to my friends that helped me with so many parts of this Comic con. Loading, transporting, unloading, repeat many times, working all day, hen pack up, load, transport, unload. We are all dead tired, my feet are so sore. Doing a another toy show tomorrow in Clarkston.. As well as friends that cosplayed in suppurt of me, and those that came because of me. (Or they justed wanted to have a great time) I know many people messaged me last night and today to say they could not make it. I got you, we will be coming back next year... ;)
We had vendors galore, with all kinds of cool stuff, from comics, toys, Funko pops, artwork, real droids ,cosplayers, artwork, and Fetts with EVERYTHING!!!!!! Cannot forget the laser tag from Mid Michigan Laser Combat (MMLC). https://www.facebook.com/MidMichiganLaserCombat/
That was a huge hit. I bought my son a day pass, and he spent most of it up there. Got to try a match in the woods for sure...
The droids were a hit for sure. I loved them as well as my son and so many others... So cool to see them move and talk...
There was a cosplay contest, and my Niece lead the parade for the 12 and under, and my buddy led the 13 and above group. They were judged and the winners got prizes. A fun time...
Also there was an art contest... With winners for 12 and under and 13 and above. All had fun!!! Lots of talented people out there.
As a vendor with 7 tables, a promoter, and partner in this event I am AMAZED and GRATEFUL for all the help we received from all the stores in the area promoting this event. The other vendors were amazing, and helpful. Met some new contacts, and visited with some old friends... Helped some friends make new friends as well. THANK YOU to all that I know personally and came out and made this an OUTSTANDING SUCCESS!!!!
I want to put this out there, hope I do not get into trouble for sharing this info. FYI within the first 2 hours, 700 wrist bands were given out. We then ran out at 1000 wrist bands, had to get more, those were used up and had to resort to hand Stamping. BOOOOOOMMMM!!! YOU ALL DID THAT!!!!! THANK YOU, Please give yourself a round of applause, YOU the visitors ROCK!!!!!
