Today is the Tenth Anniversary of KBMF! The station had its official ribbon cutting on June 13, 2015, also traditionally Miners Union Day in Butte. We will celebrate with a social this evening at 5 p.m. in the second floor ballroom of the Carpenters Union Hall. Christy Pickett is performing, and there will be pasties! We will gather at 7pm on Thurs, June 5th on the first floor of the Carpenters Union Hall. Pizza and drinks will be provided. Please bring a salad or desert.

KBMF recently acquired permission to air and produce a radio audio book for Copper Camp. We heard the first episode Monday at 5 p.m. during the local newshour. We're hoping it will air continuously at that time each week. There will be an email soon asking for other DJs to contribute readings, if interested. This book is very entertaining, at that cost, some of it is embellished and sensitive to audiences as it was first published in 1943. It has a lot of old Butte folklore. A big thank you to Globe Pequot publishing in the northeast for allowing us to broadcast a Butte classic.
