Redeemed Style is co-hosting an open house Saturday in Grandville, MI. They are a Style Shop & Mobile Boutique assisting women facing unplanned pregnancy, rescued from trafficking, or abuse to confidently step into their tomorrow.

During the open house, they will be accepting donations of women's clothing items and accessories that are in season, without holes or stains. Thank you!

What do you do when you're not feeling your best, but have somewhere to be?

My illness is not contagious, so we put on our clothes and went anyway!

It was a Herculean task to get myself and this outfit pulled together.🤣 Once we were out and supporting our friends, it was way worth the effort.

I like this faux leather jacket I got at Chico's. Wearing faux leather just makes you feel a little extra. Do you like wearing leather or faux leather also? 😍

I got a haircut and blowout by my friend Anika Darter today! She moved over to a salon that's super close to home!

She does everyday haircuts as well as beautiful color and special occasions like proms. She can come to you for weddings at your location. She even does color analysis, if you're into that, like me. ❤️

Do you enjoy wearing red?? 🍎

I'm not a big hearts-on-my-clothes kind of person like I'm seeing in the fashion world around Valentine's Day. But I do love a good pop of red now and then!

I generally try to tone my outfit down a bit when wearing read with ivory or camel, so it doesn't overwhelm me.

I got me some fancy designer shoes!!

They cost more than I usually spend. BUT, I had to return a jacket so that means I had extra to spend right??🤣 It's girl math!

Okay for those of you that take things literally, this is just a joke. I actually placed in the 97th percentile for math in my college entrance exams.

Aren't they cute tho? Anyway, it's first work day so all the accountants are busy.

Look at me I got out of the house!
It's 20°... Burrr! ❄️

I was playing with different lighting conditions today. Taking photos in different lights, including direct sunlight, indoor light, etc. It really lets you see how the different lighting conditions affect the photos.

This is the one I landed on today... a little indirect outdoor, natural lighting.

Happy 2024!
My word for the year is "Preparation."

About monthly, I put some outfits together. Then on a different day, I try them on and realize that I need to fire some pieces. When I get the accessories on, I take photos.

At first, I thought this process was a bit excessive, until an event popped up. And I was prepared! Over and over again.

Thanks to this process of prearation, I can look professional, polished and ready for fun! 🙂❤️💃

This is a photo of my water bottle for my workout and the rest of today. Not terribly exciting but essential...

This is your friendly reminder to stay hydrated. On Christmas Day, a loved one ended up in the emergency department from dehydration.

So I'm trying to be mindful of how much water I drink. This is actually not my favorite water bottle, my other one needs to be washed. It doesn't really matter what the vessel is, as long as we keep drinking. 🚰💦🍶

Happy March 1st friends! We made it through the worst of winter. 🙏 Particularly here in the North, we are looking forward to spring. I decided to lighten my wardrobe up a little bit. I swapped out the winter bag with a light one from @coach Added a pastel blouse from @talbotsofficial Wore a lighter wash jean from @maurices and tennis shoes from @asics

We had an amazing time distributing roses from @easternfloralmi and pieces of pie from @gtpie A highlight for me was getting a ride from one of the football players' trainers on the mule when I arrived !😂 The sea of humanity and love was overwhelming... In a good way (to quote a student). And we were good food pushers 😂 and caring aunties and to the returning students. 💚 #spartanstrong #spartansunday

Change is Good

Change is hard...for everyone! But I feel like staying stuck is even worse. When one little task has three other tasks behind it, I get frustrated and want to go back to the way it was. But you know what, I never want to be one of those middle aged women stuck in the past. It's worth it to me to push through with patience and faith. I want to have a modern haircut and color, updated makeup products and clothing styles. And know about technology tips and tricks. I feel like the younger generation has some really great ideas to teach me.... I have to try new things and stay up to date. Even if it drives me batty sometimes (have you posted a video across social media platforms lately?)! And it doesn't have to be expensive, if I can do it inexpensively, even better. Embracing new ideas and accomplishing new tasks build confidence! A little service work in the community today! My sorority sisters from the Zeta Tau Alpha Grand Rapids Alumni chapter were in full force at the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk. We supported lots of different women and families in the survivors tent. So nice meeting them and hearing their stories. It is a beautiful day for bravery, courage and faith. I like container gardening...generally it keeps little critters out! Not always. It's weird in the beginning of the season how everything is so small! Then as time goes by and they get water and sun, they grow and grow. Until the plants become huge later in the summer. I thought it would be fun to chart their progress. We're in zone 5b.
