Is yall ready to decorate some sugar cookies with the kids this holiday season??? Cause we are ready!!!

Listen, we almost killed our mom with them cookie kits, it was fun but she said she ain't doing that s**t again😝

So this year, we are giving you the recipes AND trace and cut cookie cutout shapes!

So this weekend, while yall are out fighting over turkeys, be sure to pick up the kids some cookie decorating ingredients. And we will be live on Wednesday at 5:00 p.m. est to decorate cookies with the kids!

On today's , we want everyone to know that in order to succeed in business, you gone need a coach! And we have had some amazing coaches.

I invested in our first coach, Debbie Hodge over ten years ago when I decided to leave the classroom and start my own school online. Debbie taught me everything I know about being an online teacher.

Later, when I decided to start Ziggy and Tootie Cakes, our first coaches were Dr. Boyce Watkins and LaNée Javet. Followed by Tamara Zantell, teaching us how to be an entrepreneur and to position our business to make money.

And when it came to getting that marketing and copy tight, it was non-other than, Audria Richmond and Apryl Steadman Beverly.
When it was time to secure a $1K a week in sales, you best believe we hooked up with Lamar Tyler.

And when it was time to take our SUPERSTAR STATUS to the next level, Arriel Biggs - The Mom Boss, the Mom Boss herself, took us there...even during an INTERNATIONAL PANDEMIC! She taught us how to get our business and names published in the state of Georgia's history books!

Listen! Our success did not happen without a coach! Every investment looked different, but we invested! Rather if it was webinars, group coaching, books, or challenges, we invested both the time and the money to succeed.

And on this giving Wisdom Wednesday, we need you to know, that the way to success, is through a coach! Get with someone that has done or been where you are trying to go!

On today we are literally thankful for the 30 orders that we baked over the weekend, and are shipping out this week!

From chocolate chip and peanut butter cookies, to pecan pies and red velvet cakes!

Lawd knows we are thankful!

This is the last week to order for Thanksgiving shipment!

Aye! Don’t get caught without that HOMEMADE cream cheese frosting and pecans on that red velvet cake…ijs!

Listen, raising kid entrepreneurs has been one of the toughest tasks in my parenting journey. Now, don't get me wrong, it has been a rewarding experience, but it has also been challenging.
I had to quickly learn that I was no longer raising kids that did any and everything that I told them to do...and they did it without questions.

I had come to grips with the fact that I had empowered a couple of kids to question my decisions and to expect clarity and complete understanding...or they were going to worry me to death. Because even though they were kids, they were also CEOs...CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICERS.

This academic year, I made a decision about their school work schedule without consulting with them first. And the first opportunity they got, they pretty much let me know, that, that s**t was not going to work for them and that they wanted and was going to change their schedule back to the way they like it.

Listen! I was not ready! But aye, they are the BAKERY BOSSES!
On today, I am to be raising kids that know how to advocate for themselves and to speak up when things are not going well for them in business and in life.

Kids love to bake in the kitchen. It is like a big science experience to them. However, kids are extremely anxious and messy in the kitchen.
They have no respect for countertops...at all!

On today's and , we want to encourage you to invite the kids into the kitchen for holiday baking.

However, remember to be extremely patient with them because they are not little adults and it is a guarantee that they will turn the mixer on high and shoot flour all over the kitchen. Also, don’t expect perfection out of them bc they are still developing their fine motor skills and they lack control of those little phalanges 😝

As a mom of two ambitious young entrepreneurs, I am thankful for the FREEDOM to raise my kids in a fun and loving environment where they don't feel anxious or neglected.

Like many businesses, during COVID, I began experiencing exhaustion from trying to maintain a business, homeschool kids, and cook 'SAFE' meals daily.

GURL! The daily struggle was wearing me out.

And then one day, I stood and stared COVID dead in the eye and said, "this is some bulls**t and I QUIT!"

I quit because I had the FREEDOM to quit!

Let me say that I again, ..I had the FREEDOM to quit!

Yes, I gave myself permission to do business and life differently! I quit trying to please customers with s**t that we simply did not have. I quit running all over town looking for butter and eggs. I quit standing in long lines at the post office in fear. I quit making deals to secure a sale. I quit chasing down tracking numbers.
..Listen, when I tell you I quit, ya girl QUITTEED!!!!

I sat my a*z down and took full advantage of the "CLOSED DUE TO COVID-19" sign.
What I did instead, is that I took our business completely online and gave the girls the FREEDOM to be creative as hell in the bakery...with no pressure to get it right.

We showed up every weekend and baked LIVE on Facebook. And yes, we had lots of fun doing it too.

And because I quit trying to run a perfect business during a national pandemic, and embraced the FREEDOM to do s**t differently...there is STILL no pressure in our business. We realized that we are in charge of the business and that the business is not in charge of us. And that we set the pace according to the resources that available to us.

I stopped apologizing to customers and trying to make right of something that was totally outside of our control. Listen, we can't fix a global logistic problem. And we shole as hell can't fix the pandemic. But what we can do, is show up online and bake and have fun while doing it...and sell the recipe😝

So on today, on this , we are thankful for the FREEDOM to quit. And for being creative enough to re-learn how to embrace and enjoy our imperfect business during a national pandemic.
