RR 4 closed to replace culvert


BURLESON COUNTY – Beginning at 7 a.m. until 5 p.m. on Monday, June 16th, TxDOT will close RR 4 to replace an existing culvert. This is located approximately half a mile from FM 60.

The closure will detour traffic down CR 415 to CR 414 and back onto FM 60.

TxDOT thanks everyone for their patience during this replacement project.

Sheriff Hermes always assisted the Burleson County Tribune in getting us information so that we could inform the public—he believed in transparency in law enforcement. We truly appreciated how willing he was to work with local media.

It is with a very heavy heart that we share about his passing.

Somerville ISD will be releasing early today, March 4, due to power outages caused by strong winds.
The district said that its energy provider, Entergy, expects the outages to last for “quite some time,” leading to its decision to release students.
Bus routes were checked by Somerville staff and the district announced via its Facebook that buses would begin running at about 10:30 a.m.
