Had another chance to take Isaiah out fishing, this time on my spare kayak. The fish didn’t exactly cooperate, and we later found out the lake had undergone some pH level maintenance. But that didn’t matter, time spent on the water sharing the passion is always worth it. ❤️ Send me a message if you have a kid who might be interested in learning to fish or wants to try kayak fishing!

Today I had the honor of being present for Isaiah’s very first Kayak Bass catch. Moments like this define Make a Cast, mentoring youth, encouraging growth and perseverance, fostering a love and respect for the outdoors, and guiding young hearts with faith and purpose. Great job Isaiah! 🙌😎🙏

Everyone meet Isaiah. I met this young man at church and quickly saw that his passion for bass fishing runs deep. One day while I was out on the water, I noticed him casting from the bank and immediately felt it laid on my heart that he needed to be off that bank and out on the water.

Through generosity and a shared calling to introduce the next generation to the outdoors, Make A Cast was blessed with the opportunity to equip Isaiah with his very own fishing kayak. Moments like these remind us that it’s not just about fishing, it’s about giving back to the community and pouring into others the way we’ve been poured into.

Our prayer is to continue honoring God by investing in young people and keeping these outdoor traditions alive. Taking a kid fishing isn’t just about the tug on the line or the size of the catch. It’s about muddy boots, early mornings, and teaching them how cool the outdoors can really be. It’s showing them how to skip rocks, read the water, respect wildlife, and leave a place better than they found it.

Out here, every cast becomes a lesson of patience, responsibility, conservation, and the kind of appreciation for nature that screens just can’t compete with.

Because at the end of the day, the fish are just a bonus. The memories and the love for the outdoors….That’s the real catch

Everyone meet JJ, age 18. He’s been putting in the work from the bank for a long time, and it truly meant something to me to give him his first kayak fishing experience. The fish didn’t show up, but the laughs, the peace, and the time shared on the water made the day unforgettable.
