✨✨About Us✨✨
We are a very small breeder with limited space, which means we only keep what we consider the best quality birds.
We select our birds based on:
• 🪶 As close to SOP as possible
• 🥚 egg color
• 💪 Overall health and hardiness
Because we are small, availability can be limited depending on what our hens are laying.

🥚 Availability & Payment
• All eggs and chicks are listed on The Freckled Flock page.
• We do not offer holds or waiting lists.
• Messages are read in the order they are received.
• Payment is due within 10 minutes of us replying to your message to claim hatching eggs.
•Never send money without a request made by us via Venmo first!!!
• If payment is not received within the required timeframe, we will move on to the next person in line.

📦 Shipped Eggs
• We only ship hatching eggs — no chicks.
• We include extras for shipped orders whenever possible, but extras are not guaranteed due to availability.
• Damaged extras will not be replaced. These are “extra”.
🚫 Refunds & Replacements
• Shipped eggs are a gamble.
• We are not responsible for:
• Damaged eggs in transit
• Late arrivals
• Poor hatch rates or lack of development
• Refunds or replacements are only considered case by case and are not guaranteed.
🚢Shipping Reality Check
We are at the mercy of USPS and can only hope they take care of the packages when they leave our hands. These packages travel long distances, get handled by many people, and experience some unfortunate treatment at times. They see temperature shifts, altitude changes, and sometimes x-rays. All of these factors can impact hatch rates to otherwise healthy, fertilized and viable eggs.

🚗Local Pickup
• We cannot guarantee hatch rates for local pickup eggs due to variables outside our control (incubators, broody hens, etc.).
• We regularly check fertility, so once eggs leave our hands, we are not responsible for results.
• Chicks will be held for the mutually agreed pickup time only.
• We will not refund and replace chicks who have passed. We practice strict biosecurity and will not sell chicks that show any obvious issues.
• All chicks will be sold as straight run.
• No-shows will not be considered for future purchases.

❌ Cancellation Policy
• PICK UP Orders: If you cancel or fail to show, your chicks/eggs will immediately be relisted for sale.
• SHIPPED Orders:
• Cancellations must be done via Facebook Messenger before a tracking number is issued.
• Once a tracking number is provided, no cancellations are accepted.
• Customers who cancel orders or are NO SHOWS for pick up may not be considered for future purchases.
