We just had to show off our first dzn from our newly laying Coturnix. Eggs are not available at this time as we still need to check fertility. BUT SOON!!!

So this means she loves me, right? The quail are newly laying and this girl has laid me a few beautiful brown capped eggs. And today she went all out and stamped a big ol heart on there. Sweet thing!😂♥️

It’s always an exciting day when you get your first egg! Over the past few days I’ve been telling the quail that it’s about time for them to start laying and BAM! American Pansy laid us their first egg and what a funky little egg it is🥰.

The flowers are still going strong!….well…mostly lol. Sadly a few flowers are done for the year but we still have enough to make beautiful bouquets like this!

We have a very affectionate cockerel. Sure this guy would be a great breeder for possible olive speckled eggs but really he would make an amazing pet. We’d love to find this guy a good home that’s looking for a rooster that they can interact with.

This Spring we notice multiple Elderberry growing behind the chicken coop! Now, we’ll be turning these little powerhouses into syrup to keep the whole family feeling their best all season long. 🌿💪
