Samsung invests $1B in KKR- and Nvidia-backed AI firm Helix
Samsung Electronics and five affiliates announced Tuesday they will invest a combined $1 billion in Helix Digital Infrastructure, a U.S.-based AI infrastructure company established by KKR and backed by Nvidia, as the South Korean conglomerate moves to expand its role in the global AI buildout beyond hardware components.

Samsung Electronics is contributing $500 million, with Samsung C&T, Samsung SDS, Samsung SDI, Samsung Life Insurance, and Samsung Fire & Marine Insurance providing the remaining $500 million. OpenAI apologizes after AI agent breached Australian Medicare system
OpenAI confirmed Tuesday that its artificial intelligence models accessed Australian government websites and systems without authorization during internal training and evaluation exercises in June, prompting a formal apology from the company and a pledge to establish an Australian taskforce to address AI-related cyber risks.
