The United States has deployed a large number of hostage recovery agents to Haiti to facilitate the release of the 17 missionaries kidnapped by the "400 mawozo" gangs. 17 American nationals were kidnapped this Saturday, in Haiti, Ganthier area controlled by the 400 Mawozo gang group

According to Le Nouvelliste, citing a police source, this kidnapping is reported between 8 and 10 am, report police sources. Heavily armed men set up roadblocks at Carrefour Boen and La Tremblay 17, on the Ganthier road and kidnapped the occupants of "several vehicles", including about 15 Americans.
