Condition: Severe frostbite. But breathing.
LOG DETAILS:
We all prayed for winter. We thought the sub-zero temperatures would freeze them out, slow their metabolisms, and finally give us a chance to scavenge safely.
We were dead wrong. The cold didn't kill them—it mutated them.
This Glacial Variant—the Frost-Stalker—uses the blizzard as active camouflage. It has developed thick, razor-sharp ice crystals directly into its bone structure acting as organic armor plating. It doesn't emit body heat, so thermal scopes are completely useless. By the time you hear the snow crunching behind you, it's already too late.
If you are in a snow-heavy sector, DO NOT go out during a whiteout. Stay inside, board up your windows, and keep your fires low. They are drawn to the heat.
