FILD stands for finger induced lucid dreaming, and it’s one of the fastest lucid dreaming techniques out there. It’s great for beginners and requires nothing but your hands and an alarm clock! Today in this video, I’ll show you how to do this method along with some tips I’ve gathered from personal experience.

The steps used in this video were found on the LucidDreamSociety website, check it out for new methods on how to lucid dream and more!

STEP 1: Go to bed as normal and set yourself an alarm to wake you up between 4-6 hours after you fall asleep (you want to wake up straight into a REM period!)

STEP 2: Without moving too much and getting awake, stop your alarm and then relax your body. Apps like Lucidity offer a touchless alarm feature, and it’s completely free.

STEP 3: Try to go back to sleep exactly how you normally would. The main purpose is to get to the point just before you are about to fall asleep. Once you feel you are getting there, you can begin the FILD technique.

STEP 4: One of your hands should be placed on a flat surface, either on your bed or the ground.
It is also important that your fingers are relaxed and they are not too much bent. The FILD technique is very simple: you should simply IMAGINE that you are playing the piano with your index finger and middle finger. Because your body should be relaxed, you shouldn’t do any other movement, but just SLIGHTLY, move the fingers on your hand, up and down.

STEP 5: Move your fingers lightly, and keep doing it less and less noticeable. So in the end, you should do it almost INVISIBLE!

STEP 6: Relax your body and mind even more. Try not to think about distinctive things, but concentrate on alternating between your fingers.

How does it work?
The super tiny movement stimulates a part of the brain that keeps your mind awake, but your body is about to go asleep.

After a while, you might start seeing some changes in your breathing, or you may see strange shapes or colors flowing past your closed eyes. Stick with this for a few moments, until you are sure that you have entered a dream state. You may not see or feel anything different which is completely fine and normal.

STEP 7: After about 30 seconds, you need to perform a reality check. However, if you move and try to do a reality check that requires some movements, you may simply wake up and ruin everything that you reached so far. So it has to be a reality check with almost not moving at all.

What I recommend is closing off the nasal passage at the back of your throat and try to breathe.

There are also other checks, like biting your tongue and seeing if you feel pain, or just wishing for something to materialize right in front of you. Whatever you choose, once you do the reality check and you’re sure that you are dreaming, congratulations! You can now do whatever you want.

And, that’s it for today’s video! I hope you learned a thing or two about the FILD technique. If you want more videos about lucid dreaming, follow the page and leave a like to show your support. Hey guys, welcome back to another Lucid Dreaming tutorial! In this video, I'll show you how to perform the WBTB (Wake Back To Bed) lucid dreaming technique. This is easy to do and I recommend it for beginners!

Now this technique involves waking up very early and then letting yourself go back to sleep. It is again super easy and simple and today I'm going to explain exactly how you can do this for yourself!

Wake Back To Bed is very similar to wild lucid dreaming and if you want a tutorial on that I actually created one and you can click in the top corner of this video to watch it right now. During wake back to bed, you're basically going to interrupt your sleep with an alarm clock set for 2 to 3 hours before you usually wake up. If you normally wake up at 8 set it for about 5 or 6 in the morning.

Turn the alarm clock off and make sure that your mind is awake and that you are thinking clearly do not move your body unless you absolutely have to so if you really have an itch and it's distracting you from doing anything else just scratch it and then try to go back to sleep.

It's super useful if you are able to wake up and then go straight back to sleep without moving and I know it's a bit hard because you do need to turn off your alarm clock, so I recommend using the app Lucidity. You can get it on the App Store by clicking the link above.

So when you wake up, you want to think about lucid dreaming and focus on the dream that you want to have. Try and see it in your mind's eye and visualize the dream scene.

There are a few different paths that you can take when you are in this state, which are explained in the video. Please watch it and Follow to the channel for WEEKLY lucid dreaming tutorials and tips!

Thanks for watching! :)

MILD lucid dreaming is one of the easiest methods out there, and if you are a beginner with lucid dreaming then this is the technique for you. It’s the best way to kick-start your journey to becoming a lucid dream master.

Since my channel is fairly small I try to respond to every comment I get. A lot of you have asked me for a tutorial on MILD lucid dreaming, so today that’s what we’re gonna do.

MILD lucid dreaming stands for mnemonic induction of lucid dreams, and what makes MILD really cool is that it’s super effective and is one of the easiest ways to induce a lucid dream, especially for beginners. All you need to do is repeat a phrase, or a mantra, in your head over and over as you are drifting off to sleep. For example, “Tonight I will have a lucid dream,” or “I am dreaming.”

By doing this, the phrase you choose will be planted into your subconscious and will greatly increase the probability of you having a lucid dream. If this works correctly, you will repeat the phrase to yourself in your dream, causing you to become instantly lucid.

You can also pick phrases that help with other things, like dream recall. For example, you can repeat “When I wake up, I will remember my dreams,” over and over to yourself before falling asleep. Or, you could prevent yourself from getting too excited in your dream when you become lucid by repeating the phrase “I will remain calm when I discover that I am dreaming”.

It’s important that whatever mantra you choose is simple and personal to you. Try experimenting with different ones until you find what works best.

You can do MILD when you go to sleep at your normal time. But, if you wake up during the night, I strongly recommend trying MILD before drifting off to sleep again as the chances of it working are better. The reason for this is that your brain is already in “sleep mode” and it’s a lot easier for your mantra to carry over into the dream world. Not only that but you might enter directly into REM sleep if you woke up from a dream.

The key to getting MILD to work is that your phrase, whatever you choose, needs to be the last thing on your mind before falling asleep. It seems like an easy task, but when you actually start doing it you’ll find yourself forgetting to repeat the phrase as you get closer to sleep.

MILD is one of the easiest lucid dreaming techniques, but just like any other technique it requires a certain level of practice before you get really good at it. The great thing about MILD is that there’s a good chance of it working the very first night you try this.

MILD is a really simple way to improve your lucid dreaming skills and takes hardly any effort. However, if you want to achieve the best results I recommend doing MILD alongside other powerful lucid dreaming techniques, like keeping a dream journal and performing reality checks regularity. You can also combine MILD with other methods or do it alongside WILD or WBTB to increase your odds of having a lucid dream. If you want to learn about any of these things, FOLLOW to the channel as I will be uploading tutorials on those topics very soon.

And, that’s it for today’s video! I hope you learned a thing or two about the MILD technique. It’s a great method and I used to do it every night when I started lucid dreaming myself. I still do it today alongside WILD and other methods which I will post videos on in the future.

Thanks for watching! :)
