Meet Brian Kelly, a sweet 5-year-old from Belleville, Illinois, who shares a special bond with his dad. They love spending time together, especially doing yard work. But with his dad Daniel serving overseas, Brian has been feeling a bit down.

“Brian really misses his father,” says his mom, Barbara Kelly. “He’s a shy little guy, and he adores his daddy.”

Fortunately, Brian discovered a heartwarming way to cope, and his story with a neighbor who stepped in during this tough time is touching hearts everywhere online.

One day, Brian mustered up the courage to knock on Dean Cravens’ door, and that’s how their beautiful friendship began.

“Nobody ever comes to our front door, so I thought, ‘Who could that be?’” Dean shared. “When I saw it was Brian, I could tell he wanted to help with yard work, so I said, ‘Absolutely! Let’s meet around the garage and grab some tools.’”

For the next six weeks, these two buddies had a blast together. Dean affectionately noted that Brian was “taking it upon himself to adopt me for yard work.”

Even though Dean has his hands full with a job and a family, he couldn’t resist helping a boy who was missing his dad so much. “Seeing the smile on his face and watching him enjoy it brings me so much joy,” Dean expressed, cherishing every moment spent with Brian.

Brian’s mom is incredibly thankful to Dean for stepping up as a father figure for her son while Daniel is away. “He’s just there to help Brian get through the days. He’s ‘absolutely’ filling in. That’s exactly what he’s doing.”

A big thank you to Dean for being such an amazing influence in Brian’s life during this time!

When I was growing up, my mom cleaned houses to support us. As an immigrant, it was one of the few jobs that paid enough for her to take care of three kids. One of her clients was this sweet old lady who had a porch goose that I got to play with and dress up whenever I tagged along. This goose became my version of the American dream! I always dreamed of having one in my own home, as it would mean I’d made it—having a front porch decoration that I could change with the seasons! 😂😂😂 I’ve been on the lookout for my very own porch goose at thrift stores for ages. Today, while visiting my friend in Waco, TX, I popped into the local Salvation Army and spotted their 4th of July table. I couldn’t believe my eyes when I saw this amazing goose! I squealed and rushed over to give him a hug. He was priced at $24.99, and I usually stick to a $10 rule at thrift stores, but then I remembered it was 50% off day! I was so excited that the cashier let me take him home for just $5! He has a tiny chip on his wing, but he’s absolutely perfect to me! Y’all, I finally have my own porch goose! Everyone say hello to GARY GOOSE—he even comes with his own patriotic outfit! God bless America!

A month ago, my ex-boss passed away. She was a vibrant, attractive 72-year-old woman who loved to work till the end of her life.
She gave me the chance to work with her on my first job, and she continued to mentor me while I was employed by the company.
She used to come into the office every day. In her fifties, she had a strong sense of passion for her work.
She had incredible wealth. Her spouse had passed away. Her son resides in the United States. Once, she shared a home with her maid and chef.
This is how she used to appear.
Google is the image source.
I had often wondered, "Why is she still working at her age of sixty? She is blessed with everything in life.
I asked her one day.
"You know, Barun, everyone wants to retire early so they can enjoy their lives," she retorted. However, they are unaware of how challenging life can be while you are idle. It makes no difference how wealthy you are.
I learned a valuable lesson in life.
I frequently watch YouTube videos on people teaching others how to retire in their 40s, 50s, and 60s, among other age ranges. But for what purpose?
Find out the feelings of a retired person?
One thing that might keep you occupied and help you forget about other bad things is work. Thus, do not stop working.
We have to enjoy the journey!

A 14 year old girl works in her parents' candy store. One day a 12 year old boy and his father come in to buy a newspaper. The 12 year old boy instantly falls in love.

Everyday, for more than two years, without ever missing a day, the young boy came into the candy store and bought a Hershey bar. Each Hershey bar had a small, barely noticeable sticker with the name of the store on it. He was so shy that it was hard for him to even speak when he was near her.

After more than two years of buying Hershey bars everyday, the girl he was in love with was gone. He continued to go in for a few weeks but it became obvious to him that she was no longer working there. The young boy was devastated. He could think of nothing but this beautiful girl.

Many years later, the young boy, now a young man, goes to college out of state. One day, while walking on campus, he notices a student on a bench crying, he goes over to ask if she's ok. She told him that she is not ok. He put his books down on the bench, sat down next to her and tried to make her feel better, but she was very upset. She wouldn't tell him details but she made it very clear that she thought the guy she was dating loved her and today somehow she found that wasn't true.

As the young boy left to go to class, he left his history notebook on the bench. The young woman, still crying, opened his history, loose leaf notebook so she can get his name and maybe a class schedule so she can return it to him. She found no name or class schedule, and there was not one note written from any school subject. What she did find was 763 Hershey wrappers, with love letters written on the back of each one. Each Hershey wrapper had a small sticker with the name and address of her parents' candy store, the same store she worked in as a young girl. The love letters were all written to her!!! She continued to cry, even harder now, but they were clearly different tears.

This story is being told today, by another 14 year old girl who works in the same candy store. She is telling

Yesterday, there was a messy pile of blankets on the ground, all filthy, a bit wet, and frozen from being slept on the night before. I noticed a city worker collecting them and putting them into what looked like a trash bag. Then this morning, as I walked by the same spot, I was pleasantly surprised to see the blankets washed and neatly folded. It really made me smile! A big shoutout to the kind person who took the time to do this!
