Pig-nosed turtles are nearly fully aquatic and can remain submerged underwater for large periods of time. They use their nose to take in air from the surface without exposing their body to predators!

Watch this sweet mama Hawksbill cover her nest up in Seychelles! 🇸🇨 🥹

Her first attempt goes amiss, where she isn’t quite able to scoop the sand with her back flippers and cover the egg chamber of her nest, BUT she gets it right just in her next attempt.

Once the eggs are securely buried in the sand, she will use her front flippers to scatter sand around in a wide arc, in order to cover her tracks and disguise the location of her nest.
