Sonoma Sheriff Deputy Association, “Today, the Santa Rosa Police Department issued a press release with updated information regarding the critical incident in southwest Santa Rosa where a suspect opened fire on several of our Deputies with an assault rifle. Now that the Deputies names are public, we would like to introduce you all to Deputy Nicholas Dellia and ask for your assistance with financial support throughout his recovery process.

Deputy Dellia was trying to lay a spike strip to stop the suspect when his patrol vehicle was rammed by the suspect’s vehicle. In the ensuing chaos, Deputy Dellia was run over by another patrol vehicle and suffered catastrophic injuries as a result, including a brain injury. Deputy Dellia has a very long road to recovery which will include a lot of incidental expenses, such as housing for his family near his recovery facility, and modifications to his residence to accommodate his needs upon his return home.

Deputy Dellia heroically put himself in harms way to stop violence in our community. Now, we have the chance to be heroes for him and his family. Please make a donation using the link below and share this post on your social feeds.

Thank you, Sonoma County, for the continued love and support for Deputy Dellia and all of our Deputies who were injured in this event.”

The Calistoga Police Officers Association would like to wish Deputy Nick Dellia, a former Calistoga Police Officer, a speedy recovery. We commend him for his heroic actions during this critical incident. We’re are hoping our community can show Deputy Dellia and his family support during this long road to recovery.
