It looks like an Albino White Buffalo has been born. The last one, born in the 1840s, was a White Albino Bull.
Faith is a female. This is the background information posted with this picture.
"Native tribes in Montana are celebrating the birth of an ultra-rare sacred female white bison calf.
The white buffalo, a female born at Bitterroot Valley Bison Ranch in Missoula, has been named The Creator's White Buffalo Maiden. According to researchers, only about one in a million buffalo calves are born white, and many lose their snowy coloring as they grow.
Albino white buffalo were never or only rarely seen, even when 60 million buffalo flowed across the great plains like a great river. This prompted the name "Brown Thunder," when the earth literally trembled, and the plains were covered with dust.
Tribal members believe the White Buffalo Maiden has immense cultural significance. Some say she represents the strife plaguing our nation, while others claim her arrival means women should take more leadership roles in tribal affairs.
About 30 people from Montana's seven main tribes gathered in Lolo on August 29 for a ceremony honoring White Buffalo Maiden's arrival.
'I think the Creator sent this calf here because of all the injustice that's been done,' Glenn Gopher, who conducted the ceremony, told the Great Falls Tribune.
'She shows that we need to love and respect one another. ' Gopher said. 'Love and respect are missing in this country; our lawmakers are out of hand.' He said the group prayed 'for peace and harmony for all humankind.'
'It was the most beautiful appearance,' Gopher told the Tribune. 'I'm sure I will never see anything like that in my lifetime again.'
Aside from her tribal name, the rare bison has been named Faith by the ranch's owners. It also appears that she may be an Albino, with pink ears, a pink nose, and pink eyes, the rarest white buffalo. The Creator's White Buffalo Maiden would be the first albino white buffalo recorded in more than 150 years when a white male albino buffalo was born, as profecied.
The appearance of this white male albino foretold the coming of a long, bitter spiritual wintertime. This is why the birth of a white female albino buffalo, to some, foretells the return of women's leadership, as most Indigenous nations were matriarchies before the arrival of colonial patriarchs.
An Albino White Buffalo, like the Albino White Elephant, is considered Wakan, Sacred."
