Community: A feeling of fellowship with others, as a result of sharing common attitudes, interests, and goals. I honestly do not know if I have the correct words to express how I feel about Calvert Texas, the pride I have for this community and the love I have for the people in my life here. I own a small business in Calvert and last night I needed help getting a large piece of equipment. After a few text Justin Wilson, Andrea Johnson, and Candace Benad Wilson come from working all day at their full time jobs drove with me to Conroe to not only get this piece of equipment but wrestle it like a wild bear to get it safely on the trailer and back to Calvert to which we did not get home until after 11pm. Then this morning with a few quick texts Mike Caudle, Ty Rampy both Sr. & Jr. along with another gentleman they work with took time away from their work days to come and help me unload the beast and place it safely in my business. Bridgett Wood, Joe and Phil where going to open their restaurant Zorro's late this morning also just to pitch in and help! The emotion I feel from the love and support openly given by these amazing individuals makes me feel beyond blessed to be a part of this beautiful community. Calvert Texas is so special. I felt it from the first time I set foot on our ranch when my husband and I just started dating. I never really had a "hometown" as we moved for my father's work very often when I was young. The only thing that has come close is Cave City Arkansas, the town I raised my daughter's in and where my parents still live. I used to think I loved Calvert because it felt much like Cave City to me. However, this town and the people of this amazing community mean so much more to me than any place I have ever been. I am so completely grateful to be a part of Calvert and ridiculously proud to call this community home ❤ There is nowhere else I would want to live and I truly Love the people I have the had the absolute pleasure of getting to know here. Thank you with all my heart! If you are looking for a real community, a place to raise your children, a place to proudly call home...It is Calvert Texas!
