Hi, everyone! I’m Shayla, the new publisher of Macaroni KID Camarillo–Ventura–Oxnard. I’m a Ventura County native and a mom to two wonderful kids who keep life busy, interesting, and full of adventure.

Both of my children are autistic, so you may notice that they aren’t always looking at the camera or smiling in photos—and that’s perfectly okay! A smile isn’t the only sign that a child is happy or enjoying themselves. Sometimes they are focused on the experience, taking in their surroundings, or simply expressing joy in their own way.

As a local mom, I know how valuable it is to have trusted information about family-friendly events, activities, businesses, and resources all in one place. I’m excited to connect with local families, explore our community together, and help you find even more ways to make wonderful memories with your kids!
