Left: 22-year-old Jenny with the pixie cut.
She was shy, unsure of herself, and still trying to figure out where she belonged in the world. She spent a lot of time doubting herself, worrying about what others thought, and hiding parts of who she was. She had dreams, but she didn’t yet have the confidence to fully chase them.
Right: Present-day Jenny.
Still rocking the short hair, but now carrying wisdom, resilience, faith, and a lifetime of lessons. The woman on the right has lived through heartbreak, loss, disappointment, healing, and countless moments that forced her to grow.
The younger version of me wouldn’t recognize the strength of the woman I’ve become.
Not because life was easy.
Because it wasn’t.
But every challenge taught me something. Every setback revealed something. Every season shaped me.
Looking at these photos side by side, I don’t see age.
I see a shy young woman who slowly learned her worth.
And a woman who is still learning, still growing, and finally becoming comfortable in her own skin.
Maybe I was always meant to have a pixie cut. ❤️
