AITA for having movie nights with my sons and not me ex’s daughter?

I am a 38 year old single mom to 2 wonderful boy, Reggie my 11 year old and Theo my 4 year old. Last year I found out that my now ex husband cheated on me, which had been going on for 6 years.

They have a 4 year old daughter, which I will call Eva because I have no right to use her real name. Neither I or my sons have interacted with her until recently when I took my sons to the park.

Theo and Reggie were on the swings when my ex husband approached them with his daughter holding his hand. Reggie ignored them and kept pushing Theo. My ex husband stopped the swing and said “Reggie, you and Theo had a turn let my little princess have a turn,”

Of course Reggie left with Theo and they sat together on a bench. I assume they were talking about movie night which is every Friday. Theo picked the incredibles and they both agreed on it. My ex husband’s daughter overheard and told him.

He approached me and asked me if I was willing to let his daughter stay with me and my sons for some sibling bonding. I looked at Reggie then back at him and told him no. He yelled at me saying that she’s their sister and she should bond with them.

Reggie clearly didn’t want to bond with her and to Theo she is a stranger who he never heard about till now. I explained to my ex why they didn’t want to bond with her, I also told him that movie night was only a thing because he decided to leave my sons for his new family and it was a way for us to get closer. He...

AITA for bringing "expensive" fruits do daycare?

In my daughter's daycare, parents Provider fruit and veggies for all Kids. We have a basket where parents put stuff, the only rule (by the daycare)is, it has to be fresh.

My daughter loves kiwis pineapples and persimmon fruit, so I buy those an put them in the basket, enough for the whole group.

An other mom now complained to the daycare about all those expensive fruits, because other kids might like them and parents don't want/can't buy them.

Actually that was one of the reasons why I buy them, so that kids that can't get them at home can have some at daycare.

I get it, that not everyone has the budget to buy persimmon fruitat 1€ per fruit all the time. But getting them for free at daycare is nice, too isn't it?

WIBTA if I continue buying fruits that are expensive?

AITA for telling my wife and MIL they couldn't celebrate father's day with me and the kids?

I'm a 30 year old father of two. I want to say happily married but the last year has been a very, very bad period for my marriage. It appears to have started with my MIL, who is the only grandparent our kids have. She for a while now has treated me like all I should be doing is providing, and my wife appears to have jumped on that band wagon. I get told I should leave the parenting to my wife, I was told to let my wife quit her job and work all the hours I can so she can be a stay at home mom, even if it means I never see my kids. My wife and I have had discussions about this but every time I think progress is being made we go backward.

We both grew up without fathers. Hers bailed before she was born and mine was far more complicated but let's just say, I had no positive male role models growing up around me, and my home life was toxic and not so great. I feel like my wife and MILs experience has influenced what they want and expect from a father. They see fathers as providers now more than people who are involved in the kids and don't get that I don't want to miss out on my kids growing up. They're 1 and 3 now and I have only been there for stuff like first steps and words because I don't do as they say I should. But my MIL especially has said that stuff is for mothers not fathers and when I was there for those moments I could have been working to provide for my family.

On Friday there was another fight like this. I got home...

[UPDATE FINAL] AITA for Giving My Girlfriend an Ultimatum About Her Male Best Friend?

Hey Reddit. It's been about 8 months since my last update: Honestly, I didn't plan on ever coming back to this. After everything happened, I kind of just wanted to forget about it.

Plus, Sarah eventually found the post, so I stayed quiet. But at this point, I don't care who I p__s off, I think I owe you guys the end of the story plus a lot of you guys have been asking for an update so here it is. So, after my last post, we decided to go on a break.

We had no contact for two weeks, and those two weeks messed with my head more than I expected. I didn't know what she was doing, who she was talking to, or where things stood. Eventually, I reached out and told her I wanted to break up.

I thought I was ready. She broke down. Cried.

Begged. Told me she'd cut Jake off for good. Said she'd block him, delete him, whatever it took.

She told me she couldn't imagine her life without me and just wanted one more chance. And like an i__ot, I gave it to her. Because I still loved her.

This was the second person in my life I could say I truly loved. I didn't want to start over with someone new when I'd known her for so long. She wasn't just my partner; she was my best friend.

I didn't want to lose what we had. At first, things were... okay.

She was more present, we spent more time together, and she tried harder. But I wasn't the same. I had this weird feeling in my gut that I couldn't trust her, even if I pretended to.

I just couldn't forget everything...

AITAH for wanting to get a DNA test for my eldest daughter (11F)?

I (35M) have two daughters (11 and 5) from an 11-year relationship that ended a couple of years ago. My ex and I had a complicated history she had what she described as emotional affairs with the same man multiple times while we were together. They had dated before she and I met, worked together during our relationship, and are now officially together.

The first time I found out about her emotional involvement with him was when our eldest was around 2. She always insisted it was never physical, but given the nature and frequency of their connection and the fact that she worked in a very affair-heavy environment I've always had lingering doubts. Our eldest was conceived very early in our relationship, and she doesn't resemble me at all.

She's the spitting image of her mother, which might mean nothing but combined with the history, it's left me with a small but persistent feeling that maybe she isn't biologically mine. Let me be absolutely clear: I love her deeply. She is my daughter in every way that matters, and that will never change no matter what a test says.

I have zero intention of telling her or treating her differently. I will always be her dad. The reason I'm even considering a DNA test is purely for my own peace of mind.

The doubt has lived in my head for over a decade, and now that my ex is in a full relationship with this man again, it's gotten harder to ignore. I'm just tired of the voice in the back of my mind. So, Reddit AITAH for considering a DNA test on my eldest daughter just to put this to rest, even though I have no intention of ever changing my role in her...
