AITA for refusing to pay my friend who cared for my boyfriend due to her “innocent mistake”?

Hi guys. Okay so bit of context I need to add. My boyfriend is currently disabled, he’ll recover but as of right now he’s unable to walk and I need to be there to care for him 24/7. I don’t mind this at all and we’re doing pretty good all things considered.

I recently found out I’m pregnant and we decided we can’t keep it, I had to get an a__rtion and obviously that day I wasn’t able to care for my boyfriend so I asked my friend who works as a carer to step in and help for the day, for a generous price of course. She agreed.

Before I left I specifically told her a few things. One of which being under no circumstances can she leave her phone around him, reason being she has one of those flash things on it whenever she gets a notification and my boyfriend is currently at high risk of getting a seizure so nothing like that can be around him for the sake of his health. I asked her to disable it but she said there’s no need as it won’t even leave her pocket when he’s around. I left them to it and went to the clinic.

To make a long story short, she forgot her phone, it went off several times and my boyfriend had a seizure. Thankfully he was okay and he didn’t need to go to hospital but still, I’m furious about this, it was the ONE thing I asked her not to do and she risked his health because she forgot her stupid phone.

AITA for not lending my jacket to my girlfriend on a cold night?

So, let's start I've been with my GF for a year and she's wonderful, smart, and all that jazz but she has an issue dressing for the weather. Her outfits are just whatever she's in the mood to wear. Sometimes in the Summer she'll be wearing too many clothes, and in the Winter she'll almost never wear a jacket unless I badger her like her Dad into bringing one. She'll grab a sweater like it gives the same insulation like a real jacket.

There's been SOOOO many times where we are going to the movies or something and it's cold af and she'll ask for my jacket and I'll hand it to her then tough it out freezing.

So, boom. This weekend I had friends I hadn't seen since college wanting to meet up for drinks. I know with them they like to bar hop and go to a few different places especially if a place is dead. Knowing that I made sure to text her before she left her place to bring a jacket before she met us at the bar. We were both ubering to meet up there.

I'm having the first round catching up with everyone and she comes through he door wearing a black sleeveless dress that stopped at like midthigh AND NO JACKET. The bar itself wasn't even super warm I could look at her and tell she was going to be freezing in the bar let alone if we decided to leave. We are a few drinks in and she tells me she's cold. AITA for not caring about my sisters “miscarriage”?

This sounds bad but I can explain. Me and my sister A are very close in age and get along very well. Me and A do not get along with our even older sister B. She has spread so many false rumors throughout our family and has always found a way to be a victim in every way imaginable. B claims that everyone’s out to get her and has never been held accountable. B 26 and doesn’t have a license, car, house or valid ID. She moved across the country to “get away” but still needed my mom to pay her rent. I could go keep going.

Last year sister A was trying to get pregnant and Sister B was jealous after finding out that A was trying to get pregnant so she started taking prenatal vitamins and texting A taunting her saying things like “I’m older I should get pregnant first” “let’s see who gets pregnant faster”and every phone call she had with my mom she would joke that she might be pregnant constantly sending pictures of the vitamins as if it were a race. When B would visit she would bring a bunch of dollar store pregnancy tests and leave them all over the house so everyone could see. B never ended up pregnant and A had a baby boy.

Fast forward to two months ago B FaceTimes A in the middle of dinner and is just holding up a positive pregnancy test with a smirk on her face. AITA for deleting a ‘precious’ childhood video of myself?

When I (F25) was about 9-10 years old my family got a camcorder that I was trusted to use with permission.

One day I decided to go to our back garden and record a 'show' that I named after myself. I was going to delete the video after recording it because I didn't want anyone to see it. The video was of me jumping around singing songs - however, my trousers fell down slightly a few times so a majority of that video was of me showing off my underwear before yanking up my trousers - and some other stuff I definitely didn't want anyone to see.

My dad and little sister found the video a few hours later and teased me relentlessly for days about it to the point I would hide in my room and cry because I couldn't be in the same room without being told how funny it was, how ridiculous I looked, how embarrassing it was, how bad my singing was, and that I should start exercising because I was out of breath from dancing around. I was a shy child, so having anyone see anything like this caused huge anxiety, which I expressed to my family, which just made the video a source of blackmail for years after that.

the video was used as leverage to get me to do everything - from cleaning the house to waiting on everyone hand and foot. If I ever said no to anything they would say things like "wait until I show your friends", "maybe your aunts and cousins would like a viewing party", and "this would be a great video for your 18th birthday".

AITA for not giving my neighbor’s kids “good food”?

So I know that this is really stupid but some of my friends told me that I’m in the wrong here.

To get started, here’s our cast:

Me (F, 38)
Neighbor (F, 32)
My Husband (M, 39)
Kid 1 (M, 8)
Kid 2 (M, 7)
My kid (F, 8)

My neighbor moved in not to long ago with her two sons. Seeing that she had a lot of unpacking to do, I went over to her house and offered to babysit her kids for her. She thanked me, and walked her kids over to my house. I kept some of my son’s toys from when he was younger (he has moved out already) and set them up in my yard. My daughter is fairly extroverted and immediately went outside to play with them. It was around noon at that time, so I started to make lunch. I made some turkey sandwiches with American cheese. A simple lunch that we always have. I brought out some plates so that the kids could eat outside on our benches. The kids loved it and 30 minutes later the sandwiches were gone and they were back playing soccer and tag. A few hours later the neighbor’s kids and my child marched inside and sat down, tired. I put on some cartoons and told them I would be right back as I left to go get the neighbor to pick up her children.
