Another TidePool endeavor in collaboration with Harvard.
Are we taught the wrong things about art?
Join us on Sunday, April 26, for a conversation between Jock Herron (Harvard University), Felipe Pereda (Harvard University), and Matthias Waschek, Jean and Myles McDonough Director of the Worcester Art Museum. At this special Director’s Talk, Herron, Pereda, and Waschek will discuss the evolution of art education throughout American history. The conversation, centered around Tales of an Epoch: The Origins of Art Education in America, the posthumous autobiography—edited by Pereda and published by Herron’s TidePool Press—of eminent art historian, collector, and educator Paul J. Sachs, will tackle a wide range of subjects, including complex, recurring topics in art stewardship, education, and interpretation.
This Amelia and Robert H. Haley Memorial Lecture will be held at Tuckerman Hall. Tickets are $5, or free for Members, and advance registration is highly recommended. Check the link in our bio to get yours!
