When I want to get out & I don’t know what to do…we are going to hit the thrift or antique store 99% of the time. We make the outing kid friendly, bring the stroller & snacks. We talk about different items we find - colors, animals, and a lot of definitions on what “breakable” means 🤪
It’s important to me to take the kids to do things I enjoy. Canon has learned to go with th flow & always tells me we are “looking for treasure” or asks where the toy section is. We enjoy this time together - and yes, sometimes it IS stressful and sometimes my kids loudly disrupt the quiet peace of an antique shops. I think it’s important for my kids to see that their mom has passions & she works hard to show them that joy comes from them even when the journey is hard ❤️
