Art of Sand exhibit at Brevard Zoo set to open Feb. 16

Wild Florida: Past, Present and Future, an Art of Sand exhibit at Brevard Zoo, opens President’s Day weekend (10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 16). Presented by Toyota of Melbourne and Lexus of Melbourne, guests to the exhibit can take their walk on the wild side to new depths of art and history
as they traverse a ¼-mile trail taking in 13 incredible sand sculptures carved into the native landscape of Brevard Zoo. Created by eight international sand sculptors, this exhibit shares the Florida story – tracing the history of wildlife and humans on our peninsula. Guests can hear the sounds of a time gone by as they view these breathtaking artistic and historical sculptures - just in time to commemorate the
500th anniversary of Ponce de Leon’s first exploration of North America.
