With Father’s Day coming up, we wanted to find a way to say thanks to all the fathers and father figures in our community.

We’ll be setting aside a portion of this week’s paper (and next depending on the amount of submissions) for just this purpose and we’d love for you to participate and share a little thank you.

Do you have a father figure in your life and want to let them know how much you appreciate them? Has your husband managed not to ruin the kids? Would you just like to show your appreciation even though they are no longer with us?

-There is no cost. We just want to give members of our community a chance to say thanks.

-There’s no minimum word count for submissions, but please stay below 100.

-If you provide an address, we will send out a copy of the paper.

The deadline for submissions is this Wednesday by 5 PM.
Submissions may be sent through here or sent through email at [email protected]

If you have any questions please feel free to send a message, email us, or give the office a call during business hours.

My kids have always called John D. Morgan Park "Nana's Park" since it was just down the street from grandma's (Sally Howe) house and is still a place of joy for them. I love this place we call Campbell! In all my travels around the world, I still haven't found any place that I would rather be than right here!

There is so much nightlife in Campbell again! It's great to see downtown breathing pure fun again. Not since the early eighties has there been such a buzz and such ahem.. parking problem. But it is different now than when I use to play music at the Bodega (later becoming Zapp's/Blu Moon) and Smokey Mountain which later became Puma's.
Plus with Khartoum, The Parlor, and L.A. Rocks across the street in addition to the Outlook and Boswell's in the Pruneyard, you couldn't go wrong really, You could bar hop all night in one small area. They were mostly live music and dance clubs and it later became a problem for local authorities and well, they pretty much shut it all down for years. But that is not what is currently thriving now. It's a different vibe than before. Soon we hope to be running a feature column highlighting local bars & restaurants and other fun places to go day and night, each and every week. So many new ventures have recently sprung up in downtown alone, you just may not know about them yet. We'll take you there.
Be watching. Be reading.
