Mountain Parkway Traffic Alert: Major Lane Switch Scheduled for Oct. 31 in Wolfe County

SALYERSVILLE, Ky. – A major lane switch on the Mountain Parkway in Wolfe County is scheduled for Thursday, Oct. 31 and will stay in place for several months.
From mile marker 49 to mile marker 56, both eastbound and westbound traffic will shift over to the newly constructed eastbound lanes. At mile marker 56, before Exit 57, eastbound and westbound traffic will then split to proceed along the four-lane divided highway.
Motorists traveling eastbound and westbound are encouraged to be alert, reduce speeds and use caution when driving through this more than seven-mile stretch, and all active work zones.
Message boards, barricades, barrels and arrow signage will be in place to alert motorists to the changes.
Construction schedules may be adjusted due to weather or other unforeseen events.
